In a lot of ways tonight is a little bit more magical than tomorrow. Tonight is all about preparation and anticipation. The kids rushing off to bed with much excitement, waiting for Santa—and if you’re lucky, some snow.
Hopefully your night is filled with the warmth and magic of friends and family. Whether you gather around a meal, or a fire, or a board game. Or maybe it’s none of these things. Maybe you have your own tradition or a small family or no tradition at all or maybe you don’t celebrate Christmas. All of these are fine too.
I want each of you to take a moment tonight, take a deep breath, and reflect on the special feeling that’s in the air at this time of year. When we allow ourselves to put all the chaos and stress aside and find peace and comfort in the gifts our lives have given us, no matter how big or small they might be.
This holiday seems to arrive quicker every year, which is odd, because it’s not like we’ve been counting down or anything. (haha) So, take your time, don’t rush it. Santa’s almost here.
