Hey Everyone! For today’s episode of DIY GG, I wanted to make something for Mother’s! And what better thing to give them than an 8-bit Rose!
Let’s get started! You’re going to need:
Perler beads (you can find them at any craft store; link in the descrip.)
Peg boards (the kind that attach/detach)
First, get a picture you want to do (my picture is in the description) and start placing your beads on the peg board. If you don’t have small fingers, you can use tweezers but be careful, have a sturdy work surface because your work could get ruined if shook or if your cat jumps on it
Adjust any beads and bead colors; nothing is set in stone yet so you can adjust them right now
Add this stem so the flower stays in the pot
Iron for 10-20 seconds until they kind of melt. Remove from peg board then iron other side 10 -20 seconds
Next grab your flower pot, rectangle piece of foam and your serrated knife. Trim the square so it fits into the pot and leave an inch at the top
Cut it in half and place the flower in the middle of both foam halves
You can put anything on top of the 1 inch. I put wooden blocks but you can put beads, leaves or anything else you can think of!
We’re all done! This makes a great gift for any mother for any occasion! If you try this, tweet me an image or leave a picture on our facebook page!
Thanks for watching
